James E. Flynn

Mr. Flynn joined Deerfield in 2000, focusing on pharmaceutical companies. His role grew to include management of the firm: expanding its investment capabilities, developing proprietary market research instruments and creating the Deerfield Foundation. Previously, Mr. Flynn was a top ranked analyst at Furman Selz and served as Vice President of Corporate Development of Alpharma Inc. He began his career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. Mr. Flynn serves on several boards, including the Mount Sinai Health System and the New York Academy of Medicine. He has a BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Economics from the University of Michigan.
