The Baupost Group, LLC

Seth Klarman is the CEO and Portfolio Manager of The Baupost Group.  He has had primary responsibility for managing Baupost’s investments since its founding in 1982. 

Klarman is the author of “Margin of Safety” and editor of “Security Analysis: Seventh Edition.” He is a graduate of Harvard Business School and received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University. 

Klarman serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Broad Institute; on Beth Israel Hospital’s Board of Managers and as a member of its Board of Trustees; and as a member of the Board of Dean’s Advisors at HBS.  He is also a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and co-chairman of The Klarman Family Foundation.
