Stéphane Bancel serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Moderna, Inc. and on the company’s board of directors. Before joining Moderna, Inc., Mr. Bancel was the CEO of the French diagnostics company, bioMérieux SA. Previously, he held various roles at Eli Lilly and Company and bioMérieux. Mr. Bancel currently serves on the board of directors of Indigo and is a Venture Partner at Flagship Pioneering. Mr. Bancel holds a MEng degree from École Centrale Paris, an MS in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
