William Sahlman is a Baker Foundation Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. His research focuses on the investment and financing decisions made in entrepreneurial ventures at all stages in their development. Mr. Sahlman is co-chair of the Rock Center for Entrepreneurship and, from 2009 to 2015, he was chairman of the Advisory Committee for Harvard Stem Cell Science, as well as from 2007 to 2016 Senior Associate Dean for External Relations. Mr. Sahlman has been honored by the National Venture Capital Association. He serves on the boards of several private companies. Mr. Sahlman received an AB degree in Economics from Princeton University, an MBA from Harvard University, and a PhD in Business Economics, also from Harvard.
